In 1984, at the age of 20 years old, Darrell Siggers was convicted of first-degree murder and sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. While in prison, Darrell educated himself and began to learn the law. Darrell maintained his innocence from the beginning. Since coming home from prison at the age of 55, Darrell has had the honor of speaking at every major university in the State of Michigan about wrongful convictions and is working with students and faculty on criminal justice reforms.
